Summer Schools offer sunny English

3/1/2019

For more than 15 years we have been offering English Summer Schools in June, July and August. In 2019 we again have a broad offer. Project leaders Karin van Eck, Angela Koopal and Sascha de Vries have years of experience in running Summer Schools and are very excited about this year’s run.

“Planning and discussing new ideas is always very rewarding. We get a lot of feedback from pupils, parents and teachers. Some of their suggestions are slightly unrealistic, but most of their  ideas bring a big smile to our faces.” Summer Schools 2019 will be about learning English in an active and exciting way. “Based on a clear step by step structure, we focus on communication and doing things together. You learn better when you are in a good sunny mood.”

Lunch
Lessons in the morning, activities in the afternoon. This will be the set-up, as usual. “We can see that this balance works best for most pupils.” New is lunch, which will be provided for all participants and staff this year. “Feedback from our international Summer Schools showed that everybody liked the lunches  very much, it was seen a good intermezzo to relax and talk English, so now we are going to introduce it in The Netherlands as well.”
