English Summer Schools, assessments or training. Nothing is too much, in sunshine, or when it is raining. Dear Marian, you deserve our PIE because you give far more than you take. Marian has been involved in a wide variery of Anglia activities for many, many years. As one of our most experienced Anglia Speaking Test Assessors she has guided hundreds, if not thousands of Anglia Speaking Test participants, mostly in the south of The Netherlands. Because of this experience, Marian was asked give the Anglia Speaking Test Assessor Training as well. She is currently training a group of about 25 enthusiastic teachers. A passion for Anglia seems te be running in the family, because together with her husband (the Anglia Coordinator at SG Sophianum in Gulpen) she has been a (head) teacher in several of our English Summer Schools.
Yesterday was the second day of the yearly Global College Network Conference in Lewes near Brighton. Representatives from Japan, Finland, Canada, Taiwan, Spain, England and The Netherlands had gathered to discuss current issues and new plans. ![]() The English Education group was invited to present EFKF activities and Anglia options. Board Members Marcel de Jong and Arnold Augustijn enthousiastically explained about the projects in Brazil, Ghana and Mozambique, which can be supported by attractive events like Run4Kids, the Debate Platform and the World Games. The Anglia Digital Plaform, Summer Schools and Building Bridges were also discussed. The GCN members reacted positively and will start making plans to support EFKF and present Anglia in their respective Colleges. To be continued.
